Why are some of my items arriving at different times? When items ship in more than one package, they will inevitably ship at different rates of speed. Prints ship in tubes which are handled differently at the USPS than the flat/carton style packages. Each package is provided with individual tracking numbers to the purchaser. Etsy’s updates saying that all packages have arrived at the same time are incorrect. This feature is inaccurate for multiple shipping situations. 2. Why is shipping not being refunded for my order? As seller, and per Etsy’s seller policies, Etsy shops are not responsible for shipping unless the shop made an error with the address. If the item(s) are being delivered to the provided address from the buyer, and a tracking number was included, the seller must state a case with USPS. The Shop is not responsible for any issues or delays by the United States Postal Service. 3. My item(s) arrived damaged. What can I do now? Please provide the Shop with images of the damage. Once provided, the Shop will begin the process of providing a refund if warranted. If photographic proof is not provided, a refund will not be provided. If the buyer refuses to accept the package and has it returned through USPS, the discussion of a refund will begin once the items have been returned to the Shop. This is not a guarantee of a refund, nor a full refund, and replacements will not be provided. 4. I am not happy with these policies put in place by the Shop and have now decided to make demands outside of these policies. What can I do? If the buyer ignores, does not read, or wants to fight against any of the Shop’s clearly provided policies, take the case to Etsy. If any cases and/or reports are made against the shop due to the customer deciding that they do not agree with these policies, the case/report will be challenged. 5. I am experiencing delays/My order is late/Tracking has not been updated in a while. Why might that be? Many issues can cause shipping delays outside of the Shop. Since March of 2020, tracking nor delivery times have been reliable due to many factors (that at this time are still affecting shipping): COVID-19, the forced removal of a good portion of the USPS’s staff due to the election and pandemic, the domestic terrorist attacks in Nashville and Washington DC (threats of more future attacks are circulating - just to name a few! USPS is a gov’t entity and has reasonably slowed down shipping to inspect packages), record shopping season starting November 2020 that is still affecting shipping, and weather. All of these issues have nothing to do with the Shop. Please direct all questions about the shipping of your order to the United States Postal Service. If an order is late, but still marked as “in transit” during all this chaos, please be patient. If USPS refuses, the Shop can/will have the package intercepted and returned. Once the packages are returned, a refund (sans shipping) will be provided. 6. My order shipping label says it shipped on a [blank] date, but USPS didn’t update it until much later. Why? Sometimes items get stuck at the hub where the package was received. This is out of this Shop’s control. The date on the shipping label is the date the package shipped since USPS will not accept new packages/drop offs later than the date provided on the label. This is the proof that the date provided on the label is indeed correct. These items can be held at a package center for an indeterminate amount of time, which could be caused by numerous issues, and is not at the fault of the shop. 7. How long will it take for the seller to process my order and ship it out to me? 2-3 weeks. Enemy Coast Ahead - The Doolittle Raid Enemy Coast Ahead: The Doolittle Raid uses the game format to explore the first raid on the Japanese home islands by the United States during World War Two. It is a solitaire game challenging the player to conduct a successful mission where the criteria for success is not purely military. The player must organize, equip, and train a squadron of B-25 medium “Mitchell” bombers to attack a distant and rather dangerous target. The game not only covers the raid from launch to landing, it extends the story on both ends. Threatened from the air and from the sea, the player must do his utmost to strike the Japanese capital, avenging the attack on Pearl Harbor, and then land his aircraft safely. If the raid goes poorly it may boost Japanese morale and deflate the mood in the United States. Getting the B-25s close enough to launch is vital, as is the recovery of aircraft and crewmen, but above all, the player's main dilemma will be secrecy. The risk is great. Failure could mean the loss of an entire squadron, or worse, the sinking of a precious aircraft carrier. Will the Doolittle Raid add to the dismal news of Pearl Harbor, Guam, Wake Island, and Bataan, or will it signal the turning of the tide? The History Washington - April 21, 1942: After two days of rumor prompted by Japanese radio broadcasts, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt finally agrees to a press conference. Deftly avoiding difficult questions, he claims insufficient information to neither confirm nor deny the biggest news story of the four month old war. To placate tenacious journalists, however, he tells the press that the attack on Kobe, Osaka, Nagoya, and Tokyo by United States aircraft, was launched from a mysterious base he would only call “Shangri-La,” an imaginary island from the recently published novel Lost Horizon. His impish grin, if not his words, tell the press that the top secret operation dubbed Special Aviation Project Number One has indeed been a success. That same day China's foreign minister hands a telegram to Army Air Corps Chief Hap Arnold. It has taken some time to arrive in Washington, an indication that all may not be well with the mission. Dictated two days ago by the commander of that top secret operation, a distraught Lt. Colonel James Doolittle, it reads: Mission to bomb Tokyo has been accomplished. On entering China we ran into bad weather and it is feared that all planes crashed. Telegram in hand, Arnold immediately admits to the commander of the Joint Chiefs of Staff that the mission has failed. No bombers have been recovered. After sending that telegram, Doolittle himself expects a court marshall, confiding to his engineer that they'll tie him to a desk for the rest of the war, if he's lucky. Days later he is astonished to learn of his promotion to Brigadier General, and even more so when he is notified that the president recommended the Congressional Medal of Honor. The Doolittle Raid remains an enigmatic and contradictory episode of World War Two, defying easy interpretation even to this day. Was it a victory or a debacle? Was it a minor footnote in the annals of that war or a significant military event? Was it a desperate bid to avenge the attack on Pearl Harbor, or, a harbinger signaling death and horror soon to visit Japanese cities from the sky? Narrative Sequence Much like chapters in a story, the game is organized in six narrative segments, chronologically arranged. Each poses its own set of challenges and prompts decisions that establish the environment and conditions of subsequent chapters. Planning Naval Flight Over Targets Recovery Debriefing Historical Scenarios Besides play of the full narrative, the game offers a number of historical dissections, each a scenario focusing on a fragment of the raid. They are also a handy way to learn the game, since each scenario uses only part of the rules. For example, Scenario One covers Doolittle's flight over Tokyo, using only the 8.5x11 Target Map and the Attack Segment. An alternative scenario looks at a night raid by that flight, as Doolittle originally planned it. After playing one or two small scenarios using only the Attack segment's rules, a larger scenario can be played adding the Flight segment. Graduate next to an even larger scenario that starts with the Naval segment. In this way a player can learn the game in program fashion, little by little, studying the history of the raid by playing it as he learns. Player Aid Folders: The game comes with several 11” x 17” bi-fold aids allowing the play of each game segment with minimal study of the rule book. The mapsheet is designed to interlock with other game components, including those play aids, in order to make the player's experience fluid. Regular units are mostly divisions, brigades and regiments, while irregular units include warrior levies and tribal bands. Armor, transports, air power, and headquarters (which represent corps-level artillery assets, engineers, and administrative and command centers) are also represented. Lion of Judah has one large-hex map and approximately 400 counters representing Italian, Ethiopian, Commonwealth, French and German units. Experiment exposing at different lengths of times to gain various depths of blue. Be playful. Making prints is fun and easy simply take your kit to a dimly lit space, remove one sheet of light sensitive paper from your envelope and sit it on top of a sturdy surface like a book or the kit itself, place the plants you wish to print on top of the treated paper place your paper back the cello bag to hold plants in place use a clothes peg to secure your layers. Or alternatively substitute the cellophane bag with a piece of clean glass from a old picture frame. (this works well because the weight helps the plants to contact the paper) Parental supervision advised here. Now you are ready to expose your paper to Ultraviolet rays, the sun is a perfect source for this, expose for 5-20 minutes or until your paper turns beige the longer the exposure the deeper the blue will develop in the water stage. Patience is key. After exposing in the sunshine carefully carry your set back to your dimly lit space to remove objects, rinse your paper in cold running water making sure not to rub the paper. Pat dry and allow 24 hrs to develop to its full colour depth of beautiful blue. Optional: fast track this step with a few drops of hydrogen peroxide in developing water to speed up the oxidization. After you are finished with this kit the cellophane bag is compostable ! Made from sustainable plant cellulose or toss it in the fire and watch it magically turn to ash ! All materials are ethically sourced and made with and recycled paper.
