After hooking up with friend/bassist  Gary Fletcher, the seeds for  the Blues Band  were sown, resulting in countless albums (including such titles as 1980's Official Bootleg Album and  Ready, 1981's  Itchy Feet, 1982's  Brand Loyalty  which featured new member ex-Family drummer Rob Townsend, 1983's  Bye Bye Blues, 1986's These Kind of Blues, 1989's  Back for More, 1991's Fat City, 1993's  Homage, and 1995's  Wire Less, among others). OTIS SHUGGIE - HERE COMES SHUGGIE OTIS OTIS SHUGGIE - HERE COMES SHUGGIE OTIS Discográfica:   8th Records Well before Shuggie Otis (Born Johnny Alexander Veliotes, Jr.) cut his debut album, musicianship and performance had long been a part of his life. The son of rhythm and blues legend Johnny Otis, Shuggie learned to play guitar as early as the age of two, and performed professionally with his father's band at eleven. Throughout his long and illustrious career he'd performed on records for the likes of Frank Zappa, Al Kooper, Etta James, and George Duke, to name a few. In spite of all this, widespread mainstream success eluded Shuggie for much of his career, though he'd penned the Brothers Johnson hit Strawberry Letter 23, and would experience a resurgence in 2013 with the reissue of his most famous album, Inspiration/Information. His career as a session musician stretched across many years, but his solo career started in 1970, with his full-length debut Here Comes Shuggie Otis. The album was produced and contained contributions by his father Johnny Otis, plus a potent roster of session greats like Wilton Felder, Stix Hooper, Leon Haywood, and Al McKibbon, to name but a few, with Shuggie himself at the helm, performing lead vocals, guitar, and various keys instruments. Here Comes Shuggie Otis is a hybrid of lush, baroque harpsichords and strings mixed with bouncing, hard edged funk and blues, reminiscent of a combination of 60s chamber pop and the best elements of Stax Records. Gritty and wild, while also lush and sprawling, Here Comes Shuggie Otis is a solid benchmark of production flair and improvisational aptitude. A1. Oxford Gray A2. Jennie Lee A3. Bootie Cooler A4. MCCOMB DAVID - TRUCKLOAD OF SKY MCCOMB DAVID - TRUCKLOAD OF SKY Discográfica:   Lostrecordsandtapes Vinyl LP pressing. 2020 release. A couple of years ago a small group of the David McComb's friends decided to record these songs properly as an addition to the already extensive legacy of amazing music that sprang from the heart and mind of the late Australian singer/songwriter. This record is the result of a couple of summers worth of sporadic stints at Bakehouse rehearsal studios, Soundpark Studios and Phaedra Studios in Melbourne. It's not a Triffids record as it only involves the members of that band who live on the east coast. It does, however, have the unmistakable intelligence, literary clout and atmospheric arrangements that music fans associate with that band thanks to superb songs and the sympathetic playing and singing of the friends of David McComb. Some of us are friends and family, some only knew David through his music but all of us feel privileged to play a part in the preservation of these songs. The record was produced by Graham Lee (the Triffids) and Phil Kakulas (the Triffids, Blackeyed Susans) with Robert McComb (the Triffids) as executive producer. Others involved are, in no particular order, Rob Snarski of the Blackeyed Susans (Dave's favorite singer), Angie Hart of Frente, Mark Dawson (drummer for the Blackeyed Susans and Ed Kuepper), J P Shilo ex of the Blackeyed Susans, also Hungry Ghosts and now a solo performer, Alexander Gow of Oh Mercy, the wonderful Romy Vager of RVG, Simon Breed all the way from London via digital teleport, Bruce Haymes veteran Melbourne keyboard player and member of Dave's 90's touring band the Red Ponies, Dan Luscombe from the Susans and the Drones, James Hazelden on cello and Adam Simmons on baritone sax.

'Loss Of Love' was released in 1972, not 1969. Similarly, 'The Me I Never Knew' was released in 1973, not 1969. This single and album track also featured in the film 'Alice's Adventures In Wonderland'. 'Come Saturday Morning' & 'That Night' were released in 1972, not 1969.
